Tile is one of the most durable flooring and wall covering options available — but only when it's set correctly. Poor mortar coverage, inconsistent grout lines, or an unlevel subfloor will show up fast and cause tiles to crack or pop. At Korr Floors, we lay out every tile installation properly from the start, so your finished floor or wall looks exactly like it should.
Tile requires a completely flat, structurally sound subfloor. Any flex or movement in the subfloor will crack your tile over time — no exceptions.
Concrete subfloors are ideal for tile. Wood subfloors often require a layer of cement board or an uncoupling membrane like Ditra to prevent cracking.
Grout color matters more than people think. We'll walk you through grout options that complement your tile and are easy to maintain.
Larger format tiles (12x24 and above) require back-buttering for proper adhesion. This is a step many installers skip. We don't.
We include all takeup, mortar, grout, and trim in our tile quotes. No surprises.
We don't rush the layout. A well-planned tile job takes more time up front and shows in the finished product.
We use the right mortar for the right application — large format, natural stone, and standard ceramic all require different products.
Every tile job we do is finished with proper grout, sealing where needed, and clean edge transitions.
We assess your subfloor and recommend the right prep method — cement board, Ditra, or direct mortar bed.
We lay out the tile pattern before cutting begins to ensure the finished look is balanced and centered.
We set tile in sections, back-buttering large format tiles and using spacers for consistent grout lines.
We grout, seal, and finish all edges with appropriate trim or caulk.
We walk you through the finished job and give you care instructions.
A standard bathroom floor (50–80 sq ft) typically takes one to two days including mortar cure time. Larger kitchens or multi-room tile jobs will take longer. We'll give you a timeline at your estimate.
Yes. We install tile on bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, and shower surrounds.
In some cases, yes — but only if the existing tile is fully adhered and the height difference won't create a tripping hazard or door clearance issue. We assess this at your estimate.
We recommend sealing grout lines after installation and periodically thereafter. We'll walk you through this during your post-install walkthrough.
