Korr Floors was founded by business partners with hands-on experience installing LVP, hardwood, and laminate flooring across Indianapolis and 40+ surrounding communities. As we've grown, that same standard for craftsmanship and honest communication still leads every project we take on.

In-home estimates
Hardwood remains the flooring material with the strongest resale impact in Central Indiana's housing market — buyers consistently respond to it in a way that other materials can't quite match. It's also one of the few flooring types that can be restored rather than replaced, which means a well-maintained hardwood floor can outlast the house's other finishes by decades.
We handle both sides of hardwood work: new installation in homes that don't have it yet, and refinishing existing hardwood that's lost its shine, been scratched up over the years, or needs a stain change to match a renovation. Both are real, common projects — and both deserve the same attention to detail.
For homes without existing hardwood — a full install from subfloor prep through final finish, in the species and stain of your choice.
Sanding down and refinishing older hardwood that's lost its shine or been scratched up — often more affordable than replacement, with the same finished result.
That's normal — bring us in for a free estimate and we'll tell you honestly whether your existing floor can be saved or needs replacing.
Consistently the flooring type buyers respond to most in Central Indiana's current housing market.
A look and feel that manufactured materials still can't fully replicate, especially in living and dining spaces.
Solid hardwood can typically be sanded and refinished multiple times over its life instead of being replaced.
With proper care, hardwood floors regularly outlast every other finish in the home.
Stain can be matched to existing trim, cabinetry, or stair treads for a cohesive look throughout your home.
Higher upfront cost than LVP or laminate, but often the strongest return over the time you own the home.
We determine whether your project is a new install or a refinish, and check subfloor or existing wood condition.
Subfloor prep for new installs, or sanding down to bare wood for refinishing projects.
Precise installation or staining, matched to your chosen species and finish.
Protective sealing and a final walkthrough — plus matching stair nosing where needed.
Hardwood is best suited to living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and hallways — spaces with normal foot traffic and low moisture exposure. It's generally not recommended for bathrooms, laundry rooms, or below-grade basements, where moisture can warp or damage solid wood over time. If you're looking for the hardwood look in one of those higher-moisture spaces, our LVP installation page covers a fully waterproof alternative that still delivers a similar aesthetic.
For homes with existing hardwood in main living areas, refinishing is often the better first question to ask before assuming a full replacement is necessary — it's frequently the more affordable path to the same result.

New hardwood installation typically runs $8–14 per square foot including labor, depending on species and subfloor condition. A free in-home estimate gives you an exact number.
Refinishing is usually less expensive than full replacement, typically running $3–5 per square foot depending on the condition of the existing floor and the number of coats needed.
Most refinishing projects take 2–4 days including sanding, staining, and dry time between coats, though the room may need to stay clear of foot traffic slightly longer.
Solid hardwood can typically be refinished multiple times. Engineered hardwood has a thinner wear layer and can usually only be refinished once or twice — we'll assess this during your estimate.
Hardwood can show scratches from pet nails more readily than LVP. If pets are a major concern, we'll talk through finish options that hold up better, or discuss LVP as an alternative during your estimate.
